Professor Ghulam J Mufti is developing a cancer vaccine
Concert organiser Alun Watkins pictured alongside the world leader in leukaemia research, Professor Ghulam J Mufti, Professor of Haemato-oncology & Head of Department of Haematological Medicine, King’s College Hospital who is currently in the process of developing a leukaemia cell vaccine. Along side them is leukaemia campaigner Edel O'Meara a patient of Professor Mufti and fellow concert organiser.
Professor Mufti commented, "Concert in the square is a wonderful idea. The event will not only raise a significant sum of money for continuing research into leukaemia and lymphoma but will also raise awarenes of the ongoing research programmes'.
We are delighted to announce that Professor Mufti's esteemed colleague Dr Robert Marcus, Consultant Haematologist & Lead Cancer Clinician, will be coming along to the concert on 6th March.Professor Mufti commented, "Concert in the square is a wonderful idea. The event will not only raise a significant sum of money for continuing research into leukaemia and lymphoma but will also raise awarenes of the ongoing research programmes.” He is very sorry he will miss the concert because he is away at a medical meeting in Washington but his esteemed colleague Dr Robert Marcus, Consultant Haematologist & Lead Cancer Clinician for King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust will be attending the concert on 6th March.
